Multinational Investigative Journalist (Local Stations)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Independently or collaboratively conduct in-depth investigative reporting on geopolitics, cross-border capital flows, key industrial chains, and energy strategies. Uncover exclusive news stories about policy maneuvering among major global economies and track firsthand leads regarding multinational corporations' supply chain compliance and human rights practices.
  • Work collaboratively with journalists in other regions globally, sharing leads, conducting joint interviews, and jointly completing major cross-border and cross-regional collaborative investigative projects.
  • Adhere to journalistic ethics and alliance charters, upholding the principles of on-site verification, multi-party verification, and in-depth interpretation to ensure objective and rigorous reporting.

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in investigative journalism, with preference given to candidates with experience in multinational reporting and in-depth investigative work.
  • Familiarity with international politics, global economics, and energy landscape, possessing keen news insight and issue analysis capabilities.
  • Proficient in both Chinese and English; preference given to candidates with knowledge of French, Spanish, Russian, or other less commonly spoken languages.
  • Strong resilience and risk management skills; able to adapt to on-site investigative work overseas.
  • Upholding independent, neutral, and objective journalistic principles; not affiliated with any political faction or interest group.

Special Investigation Editor/Project Director

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee major transnational investigative projects within the alliance, developing topic selection plans, execution strategies, and reporting schedules;
  • Coordinate journalist teams located around the world, balancing interview resources, timelines, and reporting pace to ensure the efficient progress and successful completion of large-scale projects (such as transnational data comparison and simultaneous undercover investigations in multiple locations);
  • Review investigative reports, ensuring the reporting's direction, factual accuracy, and professional standards.

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as an editor/manager of international news and investigative reporting;
  • Experience in coordinating transnational media projects and familiarity with the global investigative journalism industry's operational models;
  • Strong professional background in international politics, economics, and energy, with outstanding issue analysis capabilities;
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication, team management, and emergency response skills.

Multilingual Translation Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

  • Translate alliance investigative reports, official documents, and collaborative materials from Chinese to English, while also translating into other languages;
  • Proofread translated content, ensuring accurate terminology, rigorous expression, and adaptation to international readers' reading habits;
  • Assist the transnational journalist team in overcoming language barriers and provide language support for joint investigations.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in translation, journalism, international relations, or related fields; fluent in both Chinese and English
  • Familiar with international politics and news communication terminology
  • Experience in media translation; meticulous and rigorous work ethic with strong writing skills.

International Legal and Compliance Consultant

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and compliance guidance for the alliance's cross-border investigations, reporting, and operational management
  • Review Hong Kong and global news laws and regulations, cross-border investigation compliance requirements, and mitigate legal risks;
  • Handle legal matters related to copyright, reputation, and information compliance;
  • Provide legal support to alliance journalists whose rights have been infringed.

Job Requirements:

  • Hold a lawyer's license; familiar with Hong Kong law, international press law, and human rights law;
  • Experience in legal compliance work with international media and NGOs;
  • Fluent in both Chinese and English; capable of handling cross-border legal matters;
  • Uphold the principle of press freedom and be familiar with relevant laws and regulations protecting the rights of investigative journalists.

Research and Policy Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-depth regional research, policy interpretation, and background information for investigative reporting.
  • Collect and clean data from public databases, government financial reports, academic papers, and other sources to uncover investigative clues and provide solid data support for reporting.
  • Regularly write internal reference reports to analyze development trends in issues such as global supply chain shifts, competition for key minerals, and regulations on emerging technologies, providing intellectual support for the team's topic selection.

Job Requirements:

  • International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Regional Studies (e.g., Southeast Asian Studies, Eurasian Studies), or related fields.
  • Possess solid academic research skills, be proficient in qualitative and quantitative research methods, and be able to write logically rigorous and well-supported research reports.
  • Proficient in Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) collection techniques and able to efficiently utilize global think tank, database, and archival resources.
